The Very Bad, No Good, Terrible Hot, Windy Day

3/15/2015

Hey guys! I'm here to share my latest tintype session that I did yesterday!
First off, let me explain the title of this blog post. If you live in the San Diego area, you already  know how HOT it has been and how very windy it has been. I prepared for the weather and not the wind. During set up I experienced watching my darkroom ( which had a dip tank and a bucket of water) float right off the table. Not going to lie, it was almost a disaster. Luckily no chemicals were in my dip tanks and nothing was damaged.

Yesterday I has the pleasure of photographing Brian and Valentine  for their anniversary.  Valentine is also a local artist that does painting, to silk screening, to letter press! I felt very honored.

Even though it was windy in San Diego, we managed to get some pretty clean plates done! Very pleased on how the session turned out.

Luckily the backdrop or camera blew over for the rest of the day!
