Travel Diaries- Chicago Edition Day 1 – The Long Haul

8:09am (California time)

So far, smooth sailing. This morning was a bit rough because I had to wake up at five and be out the door by six, which I was able to accomplish. Like normal San Diego mornings everything was misty and clouded over so I didn’t get to have a nice sunny morning until I got onto plane and we took off.  I always forget that no matter how bad the weather is down on the ground, there’s always a blue sky above it all.

Next stop, Vegas!

Throughout this trip I will be posting and editing photos using my windows surface RT ! This is my first time really using this tablet away on vacation. So, my apologies if some photos resolution isn't all that great or sharp.

9:50 am (Vegas time)

This is my first time at the Vegas airport. Even though I have traveled to Vegas, it was never by plane. I didn’t have a lot of time in between flights. I very much regret passing Jersey Mikes on way to my gate that was five hundred penny slots and two miles away.

Have I ever mentioned that I dislike full flights with sweaty people next to me?

11:53 pm (Chicago time)

Big giant time jump from my last post. Not quite sure I will be sticking with doing the time logs for the rest of the days that I’m here. But all in all. I get to see my family. My mother is from Chicago, and I haven’t been here in years to see my grandmother or my uncles and cousins. I was so glad to see my cousin Amanda today! We would mostly just talk through Facebook and text message but it was so much more worth seeing her in person! She even let me take her photo. One of the lens that I brought with me is my dads 50mm 1.8f\ film lens. I normally don’t do all that well with keeping my hands still long enough to get a good focus, so it was a bit challenging for me. Throughout this trip I shall have to get better at working this!
