Travel Diaries- Chicago Edition Day 2 – Independence Day

7/4/2014

Needless to say, I could not be more impressed with Chicago today. Even though I haven’t been in the city yet. Let me just tell you one thing, San Diego fireworks don’t even compare to Chicago. As I’m sitting and typing this (11:08pm) they are still going. So are car alarms and windows vibrating.

Where I live, fireworks aren’t even remotely allowed to be set off in backyards, and here, everyone is setting a bunch off in the park and in backyards and the front of their houses.

I didn’t take as many photos today because I stuck around my grandmother’s house and caught up with family. But I did try my best to take photos of the fireworks without a tripod.

Hope everyone had a safe 4th of July!!
