Artist Statement

My journey in photography started in 2012 when I studied digital photography in college. But it wasn’t until I fell in love with the 19th- century tintype technique that I truly found my passion.

As an artist, my goal is to capture a memory frozen in time that evokes nostalgia and stillness. There’s a unique fragile quality to this old technique that can’t be replicated by digital or film. It’s this sense of impermanence that deeply inspires my work, and I’ve found tintype photography is the perfect way to capture the ephemerality of life and the beauty that lies in fleeting present moments.

Right now I set up on the weekends in Old Town San Diego along with my father, Clement, offering this process to the masses. Please contact me for pricing at Old Town or if you have something special in mind.
