Absolutely! For natural light shoots, the exposure can take around 1-3 seconds depending on the light and weather. That gives wiggle room sometimes for foundlings to squirm and turn their heads, leaving a subtle ghosting/blurry effect on your photos. If you can accept the possibility of this, I will go forward with photographing. Same goes for animals!

When using studio lighting, there’s a better chance that everything will come out sharper due to such a short exposure time. I only offer studio lighting for private sessions outside of Old Town.

Unfortunately no. Each tintype is an original piece of art created in that moment of time. There is no digital, film, or flash involved.

Yes! I always do one complimentary retake, especially for chemical anomalies or blinking/moving. If you’d like another because you don’t like the way you posed or other aesthetics, I charge a $20 chemical fee for each extra tintype, time permitting.
